| Attività professionale: Dal 2001, ho maturato un’esperienza triennale come traduttore tecnico free-lance per la lingua inglese e spagnola, lavorando per agenzie internazionali di traduzione e localizzazione come Logos Group (Modena) e SDL International (Regno Unito) o per organizzazioni non-governative come F.A.O. delle Nazioni Unite, sotto la direzione del Reference and Terminology Division (Roma). Ho inoltre collaborato con aziende ed agenzie di traduzione nazionali e locali, specializzandomi nei settori IT – Information Technology, Diritto Internazionale, Economia e Finanza, Meccanica ed Elettronica, Industria Agro-alimentare e altri settori.
La mia attività professionale comprende anche un’esperienza consolidata come traduttore free-lance per l’editoria, dove ho potuto specializzarmi nella traduzione di testi a carattere artistico, storico e culturale. Tra le mie collaborazioni, mi sono occupato della revisione e traduzione del testo “Canto della Terra” edito da Durante&Zoratti (2004) e ho curato la traduzione di alcuni capitoli din un vollume su HR Management in fase di pubblicazione (Summit, 2004). Ho partecipato al progetto EDU Alinari, traducendo 10 mila didascalie fotografiche per Fratelli Alinari Editore (2002), e al progetto enciclopedico promosso dall’UNESCO, dal titolo “Storia dell’Umanità”, edito da Planeta-DeAgostini (2003).Attività accademica: Dal novembre 2002, lavoro ai servizi amministrativi dell’Alma Mater Studiorum, Università degli Studi di Bologna come traduttore tecnico in-house e web author sotto la direzione dell’Ufficio Relazioni Internazionali e del Polo Scientifico-Didattico di Forli. La mia attività comprende la traduzione e revisione di documenti amministrativi e legali, atti ufficiali, accordi interuniversitari internazionali, corrispondenza e pagine web per il portale d’Ateneo.
Dicembre 2000: La mia tesi di laurea ha analizzato il racconto “Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man” di James Joyce, effettuando un’analisi contrastiva delle diverse versioni esistenti in Italia, focalizzandomi sulla traduzione di Cesare Pavese. Novembre 1999: Traduzione e Terminologia del Linguaggio della Certificazione e del Controllo di Qualità a livello aziendale (ISO 9001).

Concorro alla promozione di eventi, conferenze e seminari sul tema del Diversity Management nelle imprese e nel contesto nazionale. Mi occupo della traduzione in inglese del sito web e sono moderatore della mailing list della associazione. 2002: Associato ad ASITOI – l’Associazione Italiana delle persone affette da Osteogenesi Imperfetta.
Formazione:Nel dicembre 2000, ho conseguito la Laurea in Traduzione (inglese e spagnolo), presso la Scuola di Lingue Moderne per Interpreti e Traduttori di Forlì, Università degli Studi di Bologna.

Since 2001, I have completed a 3-year experience as free-lance technical translator for English and Spanish, collaborating with international translation and localization agencies such as Logos Group (Modena - Italy) and SDL International (United Kingdom), as well as with NGOs, such as F.A.O. of the United Nations, under the direction of the Reference and Terminology Division (Rome). I have also worked for minor private companies and translation agencies at a national and local level, for the translation and localization of texts in the field of IT – Information Technology, International Law, Economics and Finance, Mechanics and Electronics, Food and Agricultural Industry and other sectors.
My professional activity includes a consolidated experience as free-lance translator for the publishing industry, where I mostly dealt with historical, cultural and arts books and material. Among my collaborations in this field, I dealt with the revision and translation into Italian of the book “The Earth’s Song” (Durante&Zoratti, 2004) and with the translation into English of some chapters from the book “The Manager’s new compass” (Summit, under publication). I have participated into Edu Alinari Project, translating up to 10,000 photo captions for Fratelli Alinari Editore (Florence, 2002) and to the Encyclopaedic Project promoted by UNESCO entitled “Storia dell’Umanità”, edited by Planeta-DeAgostini(Barcelona, 2003).
Academic activity
Since November 2002, I am employed at the administration of the University of Bologna as in-house translator and web author under the direction of the International Relations Division and of the Polo Scientifico-Didattico of Forli. My activity includes the translation and revision of managerial and legal documents, official acts, international inter-university agreements, and correspondence and the localization of web pages for the University web site.
December 2000: My final degree thesis has analysed the novel “Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man” by James Joyce and has compared the existing Italian versions,focusing on Cesare Pavese’s translation.
November 1999: Terminology and Translation of Quality Management and Assurance at a corporate level.

Non-Profit
2004: Founding associate and member of the Executive Board of TRAD.IN.FO. – the Association of Translators and Interpreters founded by graduates from the Advanced School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators based in Forlì, University of Bologna. I am responsible for the “Online Dictionaries and Resources” Project and I take part into the organization of workshops, conferences, social and cultural events, I give advise, strategies and I participate into the annual meetings and into the monthly meetings of the Executive Board as advisor.
Member of ANITI – the Italian Association of Translator and Interpreters since May 2004.
Member and promoter of AEGEE - Forlì. I participate into the weekly meetings of the Local Board and I collaborate into the organization of cultural and social events, conferences and workshops on topics of European concern. Among other functions, I deal with the translation of material and the networking within the university institutions.
2003: Associate of PrIMO Italian Network, the first Italian Network of professionals, entrepreneurs and managers dealing with Diversity Management at corporate level. I contribute to the promotion of the Network events, conferences and workshops on Diversity Management in companies and at a national level. I write articles for the web site and I deal with the translation into English of all material.
2002: Member of ASITOI – the Italian Association of People suffering from Osteogenesis Imperfecta.
Education
On December 2000, I have obtained a university degree on translation (English and Spanish), at the Advanced School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators in Forlì, University of Bologna.
